Packaging Assistant Position Open

Track 7 is looking for a hard-working, dedicated individual who is ready to join the Track 7 team as a packaging assistant. This position aids in the important job of getting our beer into the hands of our consumers. The packaging assistant is responsible for a multitude of tasks related to packaging beer in the brewery, primarily canning and bottling as well as cleaning and filling kegs. This is a full time position that requires schedule flexibility, as Track 7’s packaging schedule varies from week to week. Candidates would typically need to be available between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on weekdays.  The pay for this position starts at $10.50 per hour. Below are the additional details about the position.  Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Packaging (canning, bottling and kegging) Track 7’s brews.*
  2. Working with Cellarmaster to achieve consistent and efficient packaging yields.*
  3. Filtration and transfers (training required) with minimal waste.*
  4. Accurately preparing outgoing shipments for distribution companies.*
  5. Ensuring overall cleanliness and efficient space utilization within the brewery.
  6. Able to multitask and prioritize jobs.
  7. Have an understanding that each team member’s job directly impacts and affects the next job in line*
  8. The ability to be a team player and eventually anticipate the needs of team members.*

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to customers, clients or other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
No computer skills required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and no prior experience required.

Fork lift and pallet jack experience is a plus, though not required.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability:
We are looking for a hard worker who is able to take direction well. This person needs to be able to work as a member on our team and understand how each job directly affects others. They need time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks according to the needs of the cellar team. This person must be a problem solver and apply logical thinking to work tasks to reduce waste, improve efficiencies and save money.
