Tasting Notes

Foreign Extra Stouts are slightly bigger, sweeter and more bitter than Dry Stouts due to their original intended purpose of being exported to Caribbean markets from Ireland. Our version does use extensive amounts of oats for added body/mouthfeel. Chocolate, coffee, earthy, creamy. Pairs well with deserts.

Description

Named after the powerful founding members of the Central Pacific Railroad, the Big 4 Imperial Ale takes individual hops with exceptional qualities and brings them together to create a remarkable hop-forward ale.
Big 4 contains the four essential “C” hops – Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Columbus – and pairs them with a malt backbone capable of delivering the hop assault.
For those of you who demand more from a double IPA and enjoy a rich malt body to your beer, this is your beer. Tangle with Big 4 at your own peril.
